Notes: Tom and I arrived at the Good Karma broadcasting headquarters in Beaver Dam around two o’clock and met Jerry. For the first hour I shadowed and helped Tom and Jerry update and record new spots in the program log for the Homer show at three. Once the show began I shadowed both Tom and Jerry on the board and took step by step notes of the process a board operator would go through to produce the Homer show including how to call into the show, cut in and out of break, how to handle live reads, account for time discrepancies between the Milwaukee and Madison stations, and how to record live interviews with Adobe Audition. | |
